Is he dishonest or stupid? I don't know the man that well, but that interview last night demonstrates he simply has to be one or the other. If companies are getting bailouts that ISN'T capitalism. That's not even typically called socialism, but rather corporatism. Corporations, business, and competition aren't problems in and of themselves and he should know this. The problem is corporations have captured their regulatory network, which again is not something that would itself exist in a capitalist environment. Capitalism really does mean letting competition regulate businesses on its own, except to punish fraud and/or theft. Those companies who please their customers and motivate their workforce will retain both and profit. Those who do not, will not, so long as they are forbidden theft and fraud as a means to prosper instead.
